I am a recent graduate from, the Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Education, at York University [First Class with Distinction, Hons. B.Sc., Maj/Min Biology & Visual Arts], and [B.Ed., Inter/Senior Biology and Visual Arts]. Aside from owning two very expensive sheets of paper, I am a certified Ontario Senior/Intermediate, Visual Arts and Biology Teacher. Currently I am an illustration and Data Visualization intern at the Informatics Department at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. My work includes visualizing the molecular evolution of tumour biopsies, designing workflow figures and creating figures for research publications. On top of that, I also volunteer at the Royal Ontario (ROM) in the Biodiversity Department working on DNA barcoding (wet lab) and illustrating for the Herpetology Department.
I have a passion for Art, Education, Biology, and Medicine and plan to cultivate these interests in my ongoing studies. As an aspiring Biomedical Illustrator, I plan to continue with a Master of Science in Biomedical Communication with a focus in research dissemination. So when I am not working on several ongoing Illustration/ design projects I am working on my portfolio for grad school.
